Hi. Was just curious to know if yahoo chat or AIM are compatible with JAWS. I'm still using V11 and I'm having all kinds of trouble trying to get around once I open the program. Are we supposed to be able to use messengers with JAWS? Will be upgrading my computer in the next few weeks, going to 8.1.

That probably means they aren't. They weren't years ago anyway.

There was a program that existed a few years previously, which went under the name of Miranda. I do not know if Miranda remains a solution at the moment, however.

Yes, it does. There's a preconfigured version of Miranda, preconfigured for optimum accessibility, that is, floating around, but I don't have a link to it at the moment.
The last one I saw was configured in German, though, and it was a pain to get it to speak in English.
I also wasn't impressed with the Skype plugin that was included with it, so I uninstalled it.
However, I can say that Aim is accessible, provided that you don't upgrade to the latest version. I use it every day. 7.5 is the newest that still works with Jaws. You can find it at www.oldversion.com.

I see. Miranda never worked, here. I do not know much about it.

No, I haven't. I've heard good things about it, though.
